Your recovery log

Every session counts. Here is the streak.

A training log for getting back to what you do: days in a row, minutes each week, your personal bests and the milestones you have passed. No feed, no followers, and no ranking against anyone else. The only person you are compared with is you, last week.

Kept on this device only. Built from the sessions and check-ins saved on this phone. Nothing here is uploaded. You can delete all of it on your summary page.

Twelve weeks

Darker squares are days with more minutes. Columns are weeks, Monday at the top.

Minutes each week. The dark bar is this week.

Your bests

The camera's session angle is not a best here on purpose: it is an estimate, and each session keeps one peak across different exercises. The knee bend below is measured on the leg, the same way each time, so its best is kept.

The knee bend, measured

How far your knee bends, read with the phone on your leg: one tilt reading on the thigh, one on the shin, added together. The same movement every time, so this week’s number can be set against last week’s. Milestones at 90, 110, 120 and 135 degrees follow the ranges walking, stairs, chairs and a bath use (Rowe 2000).

The 30-second chair stand

A test you can repeat, like a stretch of road you time yourself on. Sit in a sturdy chair, feet flat. When the clock starts, stand all the way up and sit all the way down as many times as you can in 30 seconds. Tap the big button each time you are fully standing. The phone keeps time; you count.

Ask first. After an operation, check with your surgeon or physical therapist before you try this. Put the chair against a wall, keep someone nearby the first time, and stop if it hurts or you feel unsteady.

Arms crossed is the standard test. With arms is a different test, so its best is kept separately.

30

The test: Jones, Rikli and Beam, Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport, 1999. It is also part of the CDC's STEADI fall-risk toolkit. Here it is only your own number over time, not a score against anyone else, and not a diagnosis.

Milestones

Your first milestone is your first saved session.

Shares one line of counts, such as your streak and sessions, only when you tap. No dates, no joint, no angles.
